Play the Part’s (tentative) blurb, let me know me your thoughts!
21 year old Aspen Jordan has spent the last seven years building her career as the star of a successful teen drama television series. But with the show’s finale behind her, Aspen is faced with the daunting task of reinventing herself. Luckily, she lands the lead role in a prestigious, upcoming romance film. Unluckily, her costar is 29-year-old Grey Aldridge, the only man to win Sexiest Man Alive twice. With his chiseled jawline and smoldering gaze, he’s every bit the heartthrob, but his cocky attitude and overwhelming charm rub Aspen the wrong way.
As they begin working closely together on-set, their dislike for each other becomes obvious to everyone—including the tabloids. As their lack of chemistry becomes the latest piece of pop culture gossip, the studio asks the pair to fake date in order to save the movie from a blockbuster disaster.
As Aspen begins to recognize the man behind the magazine covers and Grey starts to see the heart and strength behind Aspen’s youthful facade, the two soon realize that there’s more to the other than meets the eye, and maybe they were both too quick to judge.
Soon, the line between fake and real blurs, to the point where even Aspen and Grey themselves can’t tell where their acting ends and their true feelings begin.
